Join Real Ideas Studio’s Bun Lee for the Night Photography Workshop. This is an incredible learning experience under the night skies in some of the most mesmerizing locations in the Canadian Rockies. If you’ve ever thought about learning how to shoot night photography, you won’t want to miss this opportunity.
Bun will lead students out into the night to learn how to capture incredible nightscape images. This one night training will feature in-field instruction with great night sky timing under the lighting of a thin moon. It’s a terrific opportunity to get all the skills & support you’ll need to be a nightscape photographer!

This tour is suitable for beginners or anyone who wants to improve their skills on nightscape photography. We will meet in Banff @ 4:00pm and relocate to a nearby location for a short introduction. Then head out into the field around 6:00 pm 1 – 2 hours before sunset (8:08 pm). After sunset, will have a 30 – 45 minutes break for a meal and wait for the night to come. Instruction and guiding is fully customizable with time and locations.

Transportation:
- Transportation getting to the event is not included
- Transportation during the event is not included as people often like to ride in their own vehicles for flexibility and for easy access to their gear
- We encourage carpooling to minimize the number of vehicles we take into the national parks
Equipments requirement:
- DSLR camera or Mirrorless Camera (Full frame camera body is recommended)
- Live-View – Camera should be capable of Live-View which allows users to compose and see a preview of an image on the LCD
- Wide angle lens (24mm or wider) with a large aperture (F3.5 or larger, F2.8 is recommended)
- A steady tripod
- Batteries & Charger
- Memory Cards
- Headlamp with a “RED LIGHT” on it
- Remote Trigger (recommended)
