Hey everyone. Eric here and I am extremely proud of our new website launch. As you can see there are some amazing features, such as upcoming opportunities, forms for grant submission, job postings and more. As our resources multiply each day and our networks extend, I am proud to be a part of this ever-growing community.

Upon returning to New York and settling back into the groove, it occurred to me that this year's Slamdance/Sundance RIS Challenge was one of the most rewarding and exciting programs we have had to date. The independent filmmaking community, the celebrities, and the Slamdance crowd all embraced every aspect of what we were doing and allowed us the opportunity to create a positive, constructive and uninhibited environment where creativity was left to flourish. We have had some great programs in Cannes but at least in Utah we knew where to buy batteries and firewire cables this time.

I want to congratulate all of the teams at this year’s program. Each film is engrained with its own characteristics and professional qualities that make it stand apart from the next. I look forward to seeing what you guys do next.
